#4: 2019 Dodge Charger R/T

After about 13 months with the 5.0, I decided I wanted to go back to Dodge/only Mopar (Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, Ram). After certain issues with Ford and their lack of good customer service I was ready to make a switch again, so I traded in my 5.0 for an R/T Charger. I think Dodge does a great job with the UConnect infotainment systems they offer - they’re very simple yet big and modern screens, that give you more than everything you need is a very visually appealing way. As funny as it sounds, that was one of the things I missed the most. I also started to really like the look of the Chargers. So I started looking for some and just seeing what the prices were on them. I originally was gunning for a Scat Pack 392 (6.4L V8), but ultimately settled for a R/T (5.7L V8). I dropped a little in speed from my Mustang but for my everyday purposes, it was just what I needed. I also was able to find this in a very rare color, F8 green, with the help from a friend. Found a HECK of a steal down in Southern Pines, NC, and made a deal for it before hundreds of others could seal the deal.

The R/T chargers come with 370 horsepower and 395 foot pounds of torque. Anybody who knows something about Dodge muscle cars knows these these vehicles are huge.. “boats” if you will. That is why i’ve always liked them. More so than feeling the speed in this car, I feel the power of the big 5.7 liter engine even without having to clamp my foot down on the gas. It takes a little while for the power to get put all the way down, but when it does.. it sure is fun. Check out some pictures. Absolutely love the look of this car and what Dodge did with it to keep it sporty, yet very comfortable as a daily driver. I coupled this with the Jeep for about a month and a half.
